DAVID HENDERSON - Founder and President of Rittenhouse International Resources, LLC and recent President of the Tantalum-Niobium International Study Center (T.I.C.)


In his 35+ year career in the specialty metals industry, Mr. Henderson has gained extensive expertise in areas that include Tantalum raw materials mining, hydrometallurgical processing and marketing of intermediates and mill products. He has developed strong ongoing relationships with many major Tantalum processors and miners, and has extensive experience selling into downstream Tantalum and Niobium product markets, including such applications as capacitors, alloy additive/ superalloys, carbides, sputtering targets, other mill products, and chemicals. Mr. Henderson has held a variety of positions in the industry ranging from purchasing, marketing and sales, finance, operations, and general management. 

He is the Founder and President of Rittenhouse International Resources, LLC, a firm trading and merchanting Tantalum, Niobium, and other specialty materials since 2004. He is also a co-founder, Director, and CMO of Nanoscale Powders LLC (, a manufacturer of elemental and alloyed metal and ceramic powders.

Mr. Henderson was elected to the Executive Committee of the Tantalum-Niobium International Study Center (T.I.C.) in 2011, the global trade association for the tantalum and niobium industries, and served for three terms as its President (2014-2017).

He has also worked with the Electronic Industry Citizenship Coalition’s Conflict Free Sourcing Initiative (EICC/CFSI - now Responsible Minerals Initiative) on Tantalum conflict minerals, serving on such subteams as writing the first protocol and standards for external auditing of Tantalum smelters, and on a CFSI subteam working with the T.I.C.
